I cannot recommend Zz enough! Making the jump from enjoying a casual, unstructured jog to wanting to try out races and try really improve at running is intimidating and can feel overwhelming - but Zz makes that transition smooth. Zz has taken me from someone who struggled to run more than 3 miles and felt that running uphill wasn't meant for them to finishing my first trail 10mile, then half, then 25k and then most recently a knarly 50k race. In all of these races, I felt prepared and performed above my own expectations!!
However, what makes Zz stand out the most for me is how she builds running around your life, not your life around running even in the toughest training weeks. As someone with a demanding job and alot of family responsibilities, I was concerned about the training for my 50k but Zz expertly adjusted my training as obstacles arose and worked with me to tweak my training schedule around each week's challenges. Beyond the flexibility, my program is unique to me and my strength and weaknesses as a runner and my history as an athlete.

I spend my life surrounded by elite athletes. Finding Zz, a coach who could keep the pace, challenge me, and understand my ADHD nature was a boon to my program. She’s upbeat and active, and having her own injuries she’s worked around, she’s amazing at reassessing on the fly. She is always willing to check your form, and make sure that you’re hitting those goals. Plus, she’s hilarious.

I have worked with Coach Z for more than 3 years now. When I first started working with her, I was recuperating from surgeries and PT for torn meniscuses (and arthritis) on each knee. At first, I just wanted pain free living, balance and confindence in my knees (legs), which we achieved faster than anticipated. As my strength and confidence increased, so did my goals. With Zz's training programs & guidance, I have worked my up to several high altitude/high mileage hikes as well as high mileage bike rides. I never consider my knee pain when choosing my activities because I know that Zz has considered them when designing my overall fitness routine. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I was lineman in football during high school and always hated the sprints and runs we had to do. But as a grew older, I knew I needed to do something to keep me active and healthy. I never thought I would be a runner, but thanks to coach Z I am all in.
Coach Z has made it possible for me to run a half marathon, lose weight and gain muscle. The workouts have variety and it always surprises me when I do something new and different (especially on the strength side) that activates my muscle in a different way. I learned from Coach z that even though I was lifting 3 days a week, it was a progressive cycle and that was a major reason I wasn’t improving. Thanks to Coach Z I am improving my 10K running times and finding my entire body has more strength. I am even hitting the golf ball farther - went from hitting my 7 iron from 150 yards to 180 yards!
I feel lucky to have someone with Coach Z’s knowledge and experience working with me. This is the best money have ever spent and will continue to spend.
